Australian dance music trio PNAU have teamed up with the rising Australian singer Budjerah for their new track Stranger Love, a song that'll take you on a trip through the stars.
The song has been inspired by the iconic French novella The Little Prince, which sees a young prince travelling around space. It's a heart-warming story about finding beauty in all things, and Stranger Love is a great reminder to look for beauty in the little things.
Budjerah originally wrote Stranger Love as an acoustic ballad alongside Eskimo Joe's Joe Quartermain, before the song evolved when working with PNAU. He says, "It was really fun to make the track with PNAU. I recorded the vocals with Nick Littlemore when we met in Byron in February of 2021. The performance element of a dance record is quite different to what I'm used to, but it was really fun. It sounds really great."
Speaking about working with Budjerah, PNAU's Nick Littlemore was full of praise. He says, “Meeting a young, spirited artist like Budjerah is beautiful and challenging. To encounter someone so young who already has a great handle on creativity and kindness confronts one’s own insecurities. He comes across as a natural; not something one sees a lot of in this business.
"Whilst we come from vastly different experiences, the supernatural power of music brought us together. We wrote from the perspective of psychedelic adventuring, and wistfully met somewhere in the middle. What came together was a true PNAU happening - an interstellar banger to be enjoyed by the trippy dreamer in all of us.”
If you're looking for a song to soundtrack your weekend adventures, then look no further. Stranger Love will get your body grooving and will leave your heart full of happiness. It's a great reminder of the power of music.
