Hip-hop music comes faster than any other genre. It's not uncommon for a rapper to drop upwards of three projects a year and while that's great, it becomes increasingly hard to stay on top of it. 'The Rap Wrap' is our attempt to keep you in the know on the weekly. This week, we're giving you Nicki Minaj fresh outta retirement plus jams off the new Kanye and DaBaby records.
DaBaby - Bop
The whole DaBaby project KIRK is straight fire but Bop is the one that's likely to get people going straight up.
PnB Rock - Fendi (Feat. Murda Beatz & Nicki Minaj)
Nicki Minaj has come out of early retirement to join PnB Rock on a song she proclaims is her "favourite". It's a slippery rap track that'll ease you into the summer mood.
H.E.R. - Slide (Feat. YG)
H.E.R. keeps rolling out golden tunes, this time teaming up with the West Coast's finest YG. Slide is a laid-back, mid-tempo that takes us back to the early '00s.
Dawn Richard - Spaces (Remix Feat. Malibu Mitch & Quay Dash)
Dawn Richard has revived a New Breed favourite, adding two of rap's finest Malibu Mitch and Quay Dash. That triumphant hook remains but the verses have an added punch.
J Rick - Want (Feat. Octavian)
British producer J Rick has rolled out his debut project No Retreat No Surrender and it features this gem. Octavian is one of the finest MCs in the UK right now and he brings a rhythmic delivery to the table.
