Hip-hop music comes faster than any other genre. It's not uncommon for a rapper to drop upwards of three projects a year and while that's great, it becomes increasingly hard to stay on top of it. 'The Rap Wrap' is our attempt to keep you in the know on the weekly. This week, you're getting a fresh remix from The Weeknd and Doja Cat plus a new Gunna single from his new album Wunna.
The Weeknd - In Your Eyes (Doja Cat Remix)
Doja Cat took Say So to number one in the US by popping Nicki Minaj on the track and now she's assisting The Weeknd in his ascent. Doja isn't exactly rapping in this one but those vocals are too silky to ignore.
KYLE - What It Is
KYLE is one of the slickest artists around and he brings that ease to his latest cut What It Is. His happy disposition is absent here but he still bounces all over that beat.
Gunna - Wunna
Gunna has dropped his album Wunna and its hallmark track is its title track. Wunna is a spacious, airborne track that explores every word that rhymes with Gunna.
Sophiegrophy - Shake
Sophiegrophy's debut EP Bold and she ends it on this ferocious club cut. Beginning like we're about to get soulful, the beat switches and Sophiegrophy goes hard.
Young M.A. - Quarantine Party
The latest quarantine record comes courtesy of NYC MC Young M.A. Quarantine Party features on her record Red Flu and it's a stark depiction of that iso life. Blunts, Hennessey and more before 10am.
Migos - Need It (Feat. YoungBoy Never Broke Again)
Migos keep the new drops coming, this time recruiting YoungBoy Never Broke Again for their bounciest cut of this era yet. Need It is an immediate banger that gets them back to where they need to be.
