    Rap Wrap

Hip-hop music comes faster than any other genre. It's not uncommon for a rapper to drop upwards of three projects a year and while that's great, it becomes increasingly hard to stay on top of it. 'The Rap Wrap' is our attempt to keep you in the know on the weekly. This week, you're getting new music from the enigmatic Frank Ocean plus another Drake remix that you're going to have to actively try to dislike.

imbi the girl - peaches & scream (Feat. Genesis Owusu)

imbi the girl is one of the most thoughtful and forward-thinking lyricists in Australia and peaches & scream puts that on full display. Recruiting fellow A-grade MC, Genesis Owusu, imbi has crafted a slow-burning but groove-infused cut that allows every lyrics time to breathe.

    Doja Cat - Cyber Sex

Doja Cat's full album Hot Pink has dropped and it's full of sexy bangers. None moreso though than the opening track Cybersex which is as good a 2010s anthem as you're going to get. Doja's delivery is gentle and melodic, positioning it in a sweet spot between rap and pop.

MC Kevin o Chris - Ela é do Tipo (Remix Feat. Drake)

Drake has copped his fair share of criticism for being a culture vulture but it's hard to deny that he's a convincing chameleon. Here he is hopping on Brazilian MC Kevin O Chris' hit and pushing it towards new audiences. Drake knows how to handle these kind of melodic beats, what can we say?

SebastiAn - Yebo (Feat. Allan Kingdom)

This may be the most exciting rap track of the week because it sounds so urgent and innovative. It's taken from SebastiAn's long-awaited comeback record Thirst and it sees him team up with accomplished MC Allan Kingdom for a record that sounds like Frank Ocean on speed.

Frank Ocean - In My Room

Speaking of Frank, he dropped this one last weekend and it immediately hit us hard. Frank has always flirted with rap singing but on both this and DHL he's ventured into the rap world, giving us bars over woozy, hypnotic beats.

Mura Masa - Deal Wiv It (Feat. Slowthai)

Mura Masa and Slowthai have already proved their chemistry on Doorman and now they've reprised it with Deal Wiv It. It's an anarchic, chaotic track with Slowthai making the most of every bit of Mura's rock-tinged production.
