Hip-hop music comes faster than any other genre. It's not uncommon for a rapper to drop upwards of three projects a year and while that's great, it becomes increasingly hard to stay on top of it. 'The Rap Wrap' is our attempt to keep you in the know on the weekly. This week, we're giving a highlight of Gucci Mane's new record Woptober II and a Kash Doll keeper from her debut Stacked.
Gucci Mane - Come From Scratch (Feat. Quavo)
Gucci Mane and Quavo have a magnetic chemistry and they let it shine on this Woptober II highlight. The ad-libs may be straight from the Migos playbook but Gucci makes a good argument as to why he could be the fourth Migos.
Kash Doll - Feel Something (Feat. Teyana Taylor)
We always gravitate towards a Teyana Taylor, particularly when it's on Kash Doll's loaded debut. Feel Something is a throwback cut that outwardly promotes girl power.
Blueface - First Class (Feat. Gunna)
Blueface has announced his debut album Find The Beat, playing on criticism that he can't keep the beat, and he also proves that he can on new track First Class. It may be Gunna's moment but Blueface isn't far off.
DaniLeigh - Cravin (Feat. G-Eazy)
DaniLeigh broke through earlier this year with her rap/R&B hybrid project The Plan and now she's followed it up with this banger. Cravin is an icy serve that sees her wipe the floor with her collaborator.
Grip - He Is...I am
Grip is about to win a whole new fanbase with his brilliant new album Snubnose. The Atlanta rapper introduces the record on a very strong note, giving us a soulful cut that quickly turns into a dizzying, damning moment.
Ghetto Sage - Hagn Dazs
If you didn't know already - Noname, Smino and Saba have created a rap supergroup and their first offering is fire. It's by far the best rap track of the week, giving each of them a moment to deliver golden bars, backed by a perfect hook.
