Little Simz new project is appropriately called drop 6 and it opens with this gem might bang, might not. For the record, it does bang. Simz showcases her technique over a shuffling jungle beat that undeniably British.
Gorillaz - How Far? (Feat. Tony Allen & Skepta)
Gorillaz have been sporadically releasing songs with names like Georgia and slowthai. This week, they recruited Skepta for a song that sounds as grandiose as a Bond theme. Rarely do you get to hear Skepta over something like this.
Kehlani - Can I (Feat. Tory Lanez)
Kehlani is not technically is a rapper but she's got some bars when she wants to deliver. On her new record, It Was Good Until It Wasn't she shows them off on Can I. She gives us fast-paces verses slowed down by a soulful, slow-moving chorus.
