Hip-hop music comes faster than any other genre. It's not uncommon for a rapper to drop upwards of three projects a year and while that's great, it becomes increasingly hard to stay on top of it. 'The Rap Wrap' is our attempt to keep you in the know on the weekly. This week, you're getting a new Megan Thee Stallion single and Doja Cat's 'Birds Of Prey' contribution.
Doja Cat - Boss Bitch
Doja Cat opens up the Birds Of Prey soundtrack with this bass-thumping banger. It's a four-to-the-floor moment that showcases Doja in fine form. It's her first drop since last year's Hot Pink.
Chillinit - Layin Low
Viral Aussie rapper Chillinit has just come off the massive FOMO Festival tour and he's keeping up the momentum with Laying Low. He namechecks Drake, Yu-Gi-Oh! and Bugsy Malone in some stunning wordplay.
YBN Nahmir - Talkin
Last year we got just two new tracks from YBN Nahmir but he's kicking off 2020 quickly, dropping Talkin. It doubles as as an autobiography and a flex with Nahmir labelling himself the "king of my clique".
Wiz Khalifa - Speed Me Up (Feat. Ty Dolla $ign, Lil Yachty, Sueco The Child)
Taken from 'Sonic The Hedgehog', Speed Me Up is a suitably glossy drop. Wiz Khalifa delivers some smooth Weeknd-esque moments while Lil Yachty delivers one of his fastest-moving verses to date.
J Hus - Play Play (Feat. Burna Boy)
J Hus went and surprised dropped a whole damn album today and it houses this cut Play Play. Featuring man-of-the-moment Burna Boy, it's full of rhythm with Hus showing once again he knows his way around a dancehall beat.
Megan Thee Stallion - B.I.T.C.H.
Megan Thee Stallion follows up the Normani-featuring Diamonds by turning it down a notch on B.I.T.C.H. It's a slinky, West Coast-sounding joint that shows us yet another side to the ever-evolving rapper.
