Hip-hop music comes faster than any other genre. It's not uncommon for a rapper to drop upwards of three projects a year and while that's great, it becomes increasingly hard to stay on top of it. 'The Rap Wrap' is our attempt to keep you in the know on the weekly. This week, you're getting a new Rico Nasty stormer and a huge new cut from NLE Choppa and Roddy Ricch.
Rico Nasty - Lightning
Rico Nasty keeps the gold coming, unleashing Lightning. Her fourth drop of the year may also be her most ambitious housing beat changes, flow switches and some killer melodic touches.
YBN Nahmir - 2 Seater (Feat. G Eazy & Offset)
YBN Nahmir has been slowly unloading promising cuts but this feels like he's sticking the knife in. 2 Seater is his biggest statement yet recruiting two giants in G Eazy and Offset.
Bryce Vine - Baby Girl (Feat. Jeremih)
Bryce Vine has given his summer hit Baby Girl a cheeky update by adding Jeremih to the track. "We in New York we wildin'," may feel a little distant right now but it's so infectious it's hard not to imagine an alternate reality.
Masego - King's Rant
Masego dropped off a few loosies last year as well as crafting a gem with Kaytranada Need It and now he's back celebrating. King's Rant is a subtle flex with Masego dropping groovy bars over a rich beat.
NLE Choppa - Walk Em Down (Feat. Roddy Ricch)
NLE Choppa and Roddy Ricch was always going to be one of the must-hear teamings of the year and they haven't disappointed. The hook will rest instantly in your head and we promise you you'll get a pang of excitement when Ricch arrives.
Mac Miller - Right
The deluxe edition of Mac Miller's posthumous album Circles is out and this track Right is hitting us right in the feels. "Yeah, it's been a while without your face," as the opening line is particularly hard to hear.
