Hip-hop music comes faster than any other genre. It's not uncommon for a rapper to drop upwards of three projects a year and while that's great, it becomes increasingly hard to stay on top of it. 'The Rap Wrap' is our attempt to keep you in the know on the weekly. This week, you're getting a fresh Roddy Rich banger and another new Doja Cat cut.
Kodak Black - (Feat. NLE Chopper)
Just in time for Halloween, Kodak Black has rolled out a scary new track Zombie. Kodak's flow is as weird and wild as ever, giving us a strangely addictive hook made simply out of vocal noises.
Roddy Rich - Start Wit Me (Feat. Gunna)
Roddy Rich is on a roll at the moment. For his latest cut he's teamed up with Gunna who is also having a spectacular 2019. The result is a slippery, flute-led track that somehow manages to go hard.
Triple One - So Easy (Feat. Matt Corby and Kwame)
We never thought we'd ever see Matt Corby featured on a rap track but here we are. Triple One have a hit on their hands with this rock-infused rap track.
Doja Cat - Rules
Doja Cat has swiftly followed up Bottom Bitch with another grungy track. She's also rolled out a video that has her looking 1 million bucks as she flicks between human and reptile. If you have no idea what we're talking about, watch it below.
AJ Tracey - Floss (MoStack & Not3s)
AJ Tracey is having a big 2019. He's already dropped an album and he's keeping the motion going, dropping Floss. He's sticking with the dance/grime crossover styles that he's already had big wins with and it works yet again.
Smino - Trina
Trina is only Simon's second track for the year but he's proving it's quality over quantity. Trina is a charismatic, light cut that features production from both Kenny Beats and Lido.
