After visiting Australia last year, selling out shows within a matter of hours, rapper Rich Brian is returning to Australia next month for a run of headline shows.
His Australian visit is set to kick off in Perth at Metro City on Thursday, August 29th, before heading to Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
The tour is in support of his new album The Sailor, which draws heavily from Brian's own life, from teaching himself English by watching YouTube videos, to becoming one of the most interesting rappers in the game right now.
The name is not just representive of the sea change that has gone in Brian's life since his music career has taken off, but also the motion sickness that comes with celebrity. “The Sailor is a symbol of being an explorer,” Brian says. “Of exploring uncharted territory and just going through life, curious. It’s my own story as well as the story of all immigrants that brave new worlds for a chance at something better.”
The Sailor comes out July 26th.
