Snoop Dogg is a living legend, so it's no wonder that celebrities want to smoke a joint with him.

That's what happened in this pic with Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, or so Snoop himself thought.

Snoop took to Instagram to share this throwback of him with Cobain, only for it to be debunked by the comments section.

Twitter detectives were quick to point out that the picture wasn't real - finding the source image of Cobain in the process.

Given Snoop's general relaxed demeanor, it's a fair bet that he wouldn't be too fussed by the situation.

He hasn't yet cleared up the situation, or whether he met Cobain for real.

However, given both of their star power in the '90s, it's certainly possible that the two crossed paths for a smoke session, so we're willing to give Snoop the benefit of the doubt on this one. After all, he's earned it.

As for the person behind the Photoshop job? They're pretty proud of themselves.
