    Sounds Daft Punk Stole Part 450 - The Return Of Chromeo

    A group we’re really looking forward to re-emerging next year is Chromeo and their fantastic fun funk styles. P-Thugg and Dave-1 have always been so far ahead of their time that “Needy Girl” still sounds wickedly fresh in 2013.

     



    Maybe that’s because it’s the Daft Punk “Get Lucky” sound years early? Regardless, it would rock a funeral.

    They are now teasing an album due in 2014. Consider yourself teased by this track Over the Shoulder which started the reveal and showed their 80s flavoured pop is as good as ever

     



    The reason they are so great is that they are true music lovers (and obsessed by 80s R&B “groove” production, squelchy synths and handclap beats and all) so it’s nice to share this little Bedtime Mix they did for Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show recently

     



    On a side note, Annie Mac’s Bedtime Mixes are excellent bite size chill outs. Check out this Chvrches one featuring James Blake, Brian Eno, The Field & Low too.
