UK rapper Stormzy's new single, Sounds of the Skeng, comes off his upcoming album, following singles Vossi Bop and Crown, both released earlier this year.
While the cover art for the track might lull you into thinking it's a softer single, given it's paying homage to The Sound of Music, but this is a trap. Instead, Stormzy invokes 2017 track Mr Skeng, off his debut album Gang Signs & Prayer.
Stormzy is here to remind us just how big he is, spitting "Five whole years on the circuit/ Every single year I merk it/ Every single year." The video shows Stormzy educating his two nephews, Allyas and Omari, as he shows them London through his eyes. It's a fitting metaphor, given just how far Stormzy's reach is in the UK.
It's yet another collaboration with Sir Spyro, who's been behind some of Stormzy's biggest songs. Check out the track below, and keep your eyes and ears peeled for an album release date. Given what we've heard so far, it's set to be huge.
