Many good things happen when Taylor Swift releases a new album - but there are also some unintended benefits for sports fans.
Brazillian club Corinthians has a lot to thank Taylor Swift for when it comes to winning games because they've never lost their last game before Taylor drops an album, or the one immediately after she's released a new record.
Brazillian Twitter user Timao Dados pointed this fact out, going back nearly 15 years to 2006 when Taylor Swift released her self-titled debut album. In case you were wondering, Corinthians beat both Cruzeiro and Palmeiras, two of their rivals, 1-0 in the corresponding games.
When Taylor released her second album of 2020, Evermore, out of nowhere, any Corinthians fans who knew about the Taylor Swift rule (as it's been dubbed) would have been breathing a sigh of relief.
They were playing rivals Sao Paolo, and while Corinthians haven't been in the best form this season, they were able to defeat Sao Paolo 1-0, powered up by the release of a new Tay Tay album.

It's been rumoured that Taylor might be releasing a third surprise album very soon - and you can be sure that Corinthians' opponents will be well aware of this very strange phenomenon.
However, Taylor recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to debunk these rumours - saying the theory started after she and her team forgot to remove a placeholder title from some promotional materials. Still, Corinthians' opponents will be watching Taylor's socials very carefully...
