The 1975 have revealed that their next album Notes On A Conditional Form is on its way.
Frontman Matt Healy took to Twitter the day after their Coachella performance saying, "New The 1975 album coming soon."
He then shared graphics further hinting at the album's imminent arrival.
The band spoke to Alt949 at Coachella giving more details about the quick follow-up to last year's A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships.
“I think that bands when they get to a stage that maybe we’re in they wanna kind of graduate into being like a massive rock band whereas we wanna graduate like into being a small emo band, if you know what I mean," he replied when asked if the album would be "emo".
"It’s not even like a record where emo ended up sounding like My Chemical Romance or Fall Out Boy. There’s definite references to Joan Of Arc and Braid and Mineral… you hear a lot of that on No Rome’s new EP, it’s kind of like an emo record and I played drums on that and we were making that the same time we started Notes On A Conditional Form so it does have this kind of like, Midwest kind of sound to it.”
As for when it's coming he still can't give a date. He did reveal there may not even be a single before the whole thing drops though.
