The Australian summer festival lineups are coming out thick and fast so we've started to tick of our wish list. While Meredith, Beyond The Valley and Origin Fields have delivered mighty bills, there are still plenty of artists we reckon could make a visit. Here's our wishlist:

    Mac Miller

Miller just dropped a new record Swimming and it's full of slick, groovy beats perfect for the Australian summer. Miller is no stranger to touring Australia but we reckon he'd be a perfect addition to FOMO Festival or Field Day.

    Rae Sremmurd

Rae Sremmurd have played Australian festivals before, lighting up the Listen Out stage a few years ago but with a triple album Sr3mm out, it's time we had another visit. The duo featured in a promo video for FOMO Festival which makes us think they're almost a sure bet for an Aussie summer.

    Rex Orange County

Tyler The Creator's mate Rex Orange County is one of the most hyped artists of the year but we've yet to see him downunder. Loving Is Easy is exactly the sort of breezy tune that we need soundtracking the warmer months. Rex would be a great fit on the Falls bill.

    Blood Orange

Blood Orange was meant to be here a few years back for Sugar Mountain but he had to cancel his appearance. Now, he's dropped a new record Negro Swan and is popping up on festival bills internationally. Maybe we could get Dev Hynes back atop the Sugar Mountain bill.

    Kali Uchis

Uchis' debut album Isolation is arguably the best of the year. She's played stunning sets at festivals like Coachella and Lollapalooza this year and we'd love to see her sharing the love down here. How good would After The Storm sound alongside an Aussie sunset?

    Pusha T

Pusha T's DAYTONA was the best of the Kanye West 7-song albums and he seems to be the only one (apart from Teyana Taylor) touring at the moment. His Beyond The Valley set a few years back is still a festival highlight and with this new set of songs his live show is likely to go to greater heights.

    Travis Scott

Travis Scott destroyed the Listen Out stage in 2016 but he hasn't returned since. He's touring ASTROWORLD in the US right up until Christmas but he could easily make a January visit to Australia. The giant Travis head was seen floating in Sydney Harbour the other day. That's gotta be a sign right?

    Christine & The Queens

Christine & The Queens' new record Chris is out in September and she's touring around the world in celebration of it. Given that she missed out on Australia last time around we're going to keep a keen eye on her tour dates this time. Any festival would be lucky to have her suave moves.

    Jorja Smith

Smith's debut album Lost & Found is a clear highlight of this year and by all reports her voice live is insane. We're begging for a mid-afternoon festival set and we'd preferably like to see her with Kali Uchis so they can belt out their song Tyrant together.

    Lily Allen

Allen's new record No Shame is her best in years and she's already revealed that she may be in Australia later in the year. She headlined Splendour In The Grass a few years ago so if anything we'd expect to see her high up the Falls Festival bill. By all reports, she's delivering a very different show to what she did with Sheezus and we're keen to see it.

    SOPHIE

Last time SOPHIE was in Australia, she was supporting Flume on a huge tour. With a new album Oil Of Every Pearl's Un-Insides out this year, it's time she got to do her own sets here.

    Janelle Monáe

Monáe has had a huge year off the back of her new album Dirty Computer and the shows she's playing on her current US tour look insane. Her last Australian tour with Kimbra was canned at the last minute so she owes us a visit. A headline set at an Aussie festival is what she deserves.
