Here's your favourite discovery of the week: if you speed up The 1975 on a record player, they sound like CHVRCHES.
BBC host Steve Holden made the groundbreaking discovery when they accidentally sped-up The 1975's Somebody Else and decided that Matt Healy's pitched-up vocals sounded like CHVRCHES frontwoman Lauren Mayberry.
Look, it's not perfect but it's pretty damn close and now we're left wanting a CHVRCHES album of The 1975 covers.
After that happened, Twitter decided to see whether it would work the other way round, slowing down CHVRCHES Leave A Trace and, low and behold, it sounds like a 1975 song.
Wow. Thank you internet.
Accidentally playing Somebody Else by The 1975 at double speed makes it a @CHVRCHES-esque banger. pic.twitter.com/vag1603n0V

Starting off with Leave a Trace. I can definitely feel the 1975 vibes here. pic.twitter.com/H1TF5NuSJh
