Australian rap superstar The Kid LAROI has just smashed his debut TV performance, and he pulled out all the stops for the occasion.
The Kamilaroi artist stopped by The Late Show With Jimmy Fallon to perform the track Without You from his recent mixtape F*CK LOVE (SAVAGE), and it's another example of why the world's fallen in love with him.
LAROI kicks off the performance at the top of a staircase before he (and the entire set) are engulfed in flames. The final chorus of the track features some shredding on the electric guitar, and LAROI sounds great with a full band behind him.
The flames in the Fallon set design are a nod to the video for Without You. The first shot of Without You shows LAROI hanging out in a forest while a fire burns behind him (and he doesn't seem particularly phased).
Posting about the performance on Instagram before appearing, LAROI was hyped, saying, "IM ON THE @jimmyfallon SHOW TONIGHT FAM!! this has always been a suuuper big dream of mine to do soo I can’t wait for you all to see it ❤️? tune innnn."
The good news keeps on coming for LAROI, because it's been confirmed that he's featuring on Justin Bieber's new album, Justice, which is out on March 19th.
The album is set to feature the likes of Chance The Rapper, Khalid, Burna Boy, Dominic Fike and more, according to a now-deleted Walmart listing, so LAROI is in some serious company. Justin and LAROI were recently in the studio together, and it's great to see that those sessions produced a collab.
On the Walmart website, the description for Justin Bieber’s upcoming album, Justice, mentions Khalid, The Kid Laroi, Dominic Fike, Daniel Caesar, BEAM, Burma Boy as artists involved with the album as well as mentioning Hold On as a track on the album. pic.twitter.com/K42RBXHNmP
