It's no secret that blink-182's drummer Travis Barker is a huge hip-hop fan. That's why it's such exciting news that he's launched a new record label, DTA Records, which will house all his collaborations with rappers, as well as any other genres he crosses over into.
He's started the label off with a bang, too. He's released the label's first single, Gimme Brain, alongside Lil Wayne and Rick Ross - so you know he's serious about working with the best of the best. It rounds out a busy year for Barker and blink, with blink releasing a new album, and Barker working with $uicideboy$ and 03 Greedo. It's hard to keep up!

In a statement shared with Billboard, Barker said, "I wanted a label partner that I trusted with true artist development. As an artist, it's important to me that an artist's vision is protected at all costs. It's crucial that I'm able to look an artist in the eye and believe it when I say we can take them from a basement to an arena. Elektra's track record and belief are proof of that, and I'm stoked to continue to build that legacy together through DTA Records."
The collaboration with Lil Wayne makes sense, given him and blink toured across North American together recently. It's also not the first time that Wayne, blink and Ross have worked together, as back in 2011 they worked on the track Can A Drummer Get Some.
