Vampire Weekend dropped A-Punk three times during their London show over the weekend.
Ezra Koenig and co played the song from their debut, self-titled album at the early morning gig before deciding they hadn't played it enough.
“Hmmmm that song is too short," Koenig said to the crowd, as NME report.
“These shows are essentially attended rehearsals, we’ve got a lot of shows to play this year. I’m sorry, but…”
After playing it for the final time they said, “Okay, now we’re tired. That’s the most times we’ve ever played it – we wanted to beat the record.”
When we say it was an early morning gig we don't mean 3 or 4am. Vampire Weekend went on stage around 10am, making it more of a brunch performance.
The band is due to drop their fourth album Father Of The Bride on 3rd May.
