We've been waiting and waiting but finally Vampire Weekend have confirmed that their fourth album is finished.
The group played Lollapalooza over the weekend and while they didn't play any new songs they revealed that the album is done.
“I wanted to tell you that the album is done now,” frontman Ezra Koenig told the crowd.
“I mean, we’re mastering it but it’s done. More on that to come – in the meantime, just enjoy the rest of your summer.”
The album will be the follow-up to 2013's Modern Vampires Of The City which was the last record Rostam Batmanglij made with the band before he left and pursued solo ventures.
Still no release date for this fourth album but it sounds like it's coming soon.
