What do you do when you're in one award-winning band and performing on stage as your other award-winning band? Quite a dilemma, but Damon Albarn handled it pretty well when he was on stage with Gorillaz and really, really wanted to play Blur's legendary Song 2.
What'd he do? Invite Blur bandmate Graham Coxon on stage and mash the two band's styles up, of course!
Closing out Gorillaz's second ever Demon Dayz Festival in LA, Damon decided he'd "try a bit of cross pollination", resulting in a freakin' epic cover (is it still considered a cover if he wrote it in another band?) of Song 2.
Starting off groovy and synthy in classic Gorillaz manner, it soon burst into the grungy version we all came to love back in 1997.
Gorillaz also invited up a ton of guests for their massive 30-song setlist, including Little Simz, DRAM and De La Soul.
