    NLE Choppa

What NLE Choppa lacks in age, he more than makes up for in bars. While he's not yet 17,  the Memphis-based rapper has already had a huge hit this year in Shotta Flow, which went platinum, and even copped a remix featuring Blueface. Get to know the young rapper now, as it's only a matter of time before he becomes a star.

It was only back in February 2018 that NLE dropped his first track, No Love Anthem, under the name YNR Choppa. By December 2018, he was gaining serious heat online off the back of the cypher-style song No Chorus Pt. 3 alongside his Shotta Fam collective. He dropped Shotta Flow a week later, and that saw him take off in popularity.

Speaking to XXL, he explained what NLE meant, saying  "NLE stands for No Love Entertainment. It's pretty much a brand. I want to make it into a label." This would soon come to fruition, as back in June he released Free Youngboy,  a shotout to NBA YoungBoy, on his own label, No Love Entertainment. More music is expected soon, but a definite date isn't known just as of yet.

He also told XXL about what his goal is for music. "I wanted to be a rapper a year ago, and ever since then, I started taking it serious. I was recording stuff but it wasn't really that good. Now it's something that people actually want to hear. I really started taking it serious after I figured out I could actually do good with it."

NLE Choppa says he's greatly influenced by Lil Wayne, and even wanted to get him on a track. Speaking about one of his newer joints, Blocc Is Hot, NLE said “It was really a tribute to Lil Wayne. I grew up listening to Wayne a lot. It would really be an honor if we could get him on the remix… I think he would be really hard to get, but anything is possible.”

It's not just his own songs that he's starring on, either. He recently featured on fellow young rap star Bhad Bhabie's track, Get Like Me. We can't help but feel like these are two of the stars of the next wave of rap, and hearing them both kill it on the same track rules.

It's only a matter of time before NLE Choppa heads to Australia on a tour, and given his recent successes, it's something that you won't want to miss. The only way is up for NLE, and tbh, he's got us feeling old with all of his success at such a young age!
