    As without him it’s highly unlikely we’d have our current go to office jam Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke which obviously tips it hat to the disco-funk vibes of Marvin’s 1977 classic Got to Give It Up.

    The track also (if you believe everything you read on wikipedia) had a huge influence on some guy called Michael Jackson and helped motivate him to pen two of his big tunes: Don’t Stop Til You Get Enough and Shake Your Body (Down to the Ground)

    Check out Marvin’s killer version of the tune in question taken from his set at the 1980 Montreux Jazz Festival.
     

    and now for Robin, Pharrell (could anyone else pull off a silver pant and jacket combo? seriously?!) and T.I.’s current almost chart topper
     

    BONUS BEAT - An even more obvious homage comes in the form of Henny & Gingerale below from bespectacled blue eyed soul brother number one Mayer Hawthorne (sorry Justin Timberlake, you tried but…)
