YUNGBLUD likes to do things a little bit differently, and he's chosen to cover a modern Australian classic tune.
He's covered The Chats' breakout track Smoko, which saw the band turn into a headline act almost overnight, as well as getting the attention of the likes of Foo Fighters lead singer Dave Grohl.
In case you're not sure what a smoko is, it's a term used on Australian building sites, and is called whenever it's time to go have morning tea, or a cigarette break.
YUNGBLUD hopped on Zoom with The Chats lead singer Eam Sandwith to get his blessing for the cover, which sees him mashing up Smoko with his latest track Weird.
“Go for it mate, I’d love to hear it,” Sandwith said, and YUNGBLUD assured him he'd make him proud.“Thank you so much, man. It’s going to be fucking…I promise you I’ll do it justice.”
