Earlier this month, Led Zeppelin’s I, II & III all got the deluxe and remastered treatment and once again we were reminded of what incredible albums they are, not to mention how important the guys are to the history of rock and roll.
Let’s be honest, calling them the most influential band of all-time is probably an understatement.
Good news psychedelic soul people… Spinning Top (the management label behind Tame Impala and Pond) is starting their own record label and setting a lot more crazy music free.
Regular Cool Accidents contributor Mark Wilson aka Mayor Goldie Wilson aka the bass guy from Jet recently programmed a pretty great playlist for the folks over at ABC and their Dig Music digital radio platform.
Just like his normal contributions around these parts the emphasis is on bass heavy business.
Over and over we have raved about the new psychedelia this year. We totally love Wooden Shjips and in particular the packaging for their new super deluxe vinyl.
Which is die cut, spot varnished and embossed and all that good stuff that makes a perfect stocking filler.
Life has gone a bit psychedelic at the moment. It seems to be the new style thanks to Tame Impala & Cloud Control. To celebrate the release of Tame offshoot Pond’s wonderous “Hobo Rocket” mini album we could just have played Xanman which is surely a hit in a parallel place that’s better to be in.
