With the BIGSOUND music conference only a week and a half away we’re pretty bloody stoked to announce our involvement in THE (unofficial) party that’s probably going to shut down the conference before it even starts…

We’ve been high on Melbourne’s Banoffee ever since Ninja crept into our ears near on a year ago and the couple of tracks that have followed (Reign Down & Got It) have kept those same ears well and truly pricked.

A major UK record company BBC Radio 1 have just published their much vaunted self-fulfilling prophecy list of acts to watch in the UK for 2014. Because we like new music at Cool Accidents we feel compelled to republish it so that UK major record company you the consumer will know what will be big and exciting next year.

It’s not the first time we’ve waxed lyrical about Melb’s Banoffee on this here blog (see here and here) and it damn well won’t be the last.

There was a rumour that R&B was off on a new tip with Frank Ocean and Miguel leading the way, and would be riding on the blunted beats that the likes of Clams Casino had produced up for ASAP Rocky and Kendrick. And there was no doubt all we hipsters loved those albums more than anything that had happened since D’Angelo swept the world before him.
