Stevie Nicks on her new album ‘24 Karat Gold’ that’s made up of tunes she penned between the years of 1969 and 1987 -
“Each song is a lifetime. Each song has a soul. Each song has a purpose. Each song is a love story… They represent my life behind the scenes, the secrets, the broken hearts, the brokenhearted and the survivors. These songs are the memories - the 24 Karat Gold rings in the blue box. These songs are for you.”
A team of grizzled Tinseltown script writers could not have conceived a story so fantastic. In fact, when one hears the setup, the typical reaction involves a head shake and the words, “No way.”
When contemplating going to see the amazing Stevie Nicks play tonight I decided to dust off my copy to The best Of Fleetwood Mac to hear her song Rhiannon (my sisters name so always a favourite).
Here it is in a pretty awesome version from 1976 where Stevie looks a total babe and Lindsay is wearing what looks like – well something that was way cool then but might not work now.
