    Gorillaz Have Started A Career-Spanning Insty, Are Hopefully Getting Ready For New Music

    We've been waiting five years for a new Gorillaz record and it looks like finally the wheels are in motion.

    Damon Albarn and co. have started an Insty account (welcome to 2016 guys) and have started filling it with nostalgic pics, tracking the cartoon character's careers. So far they've only uploaded things from the early '00s but it looks like they're going to keep going.

    They're at 2001 right now but ideally once they get to 2016, they will drop a new album and then it will be happy days? One can dream.

    We know a new album is in the works. It's rumoured to feature Snoop Dogg, De La Soul, Vic Mensa, Massive Attack, and Jean Michel Jarre and should be arriving soon. 

    Gorillaz collaborator Jamie Hewlett provided an update a few months ago, telling a fansite that the album won't be out until 2017 but it will be "really fuckin' special". 

    2017 sounds good to us. Should we pencil in January 1st?
