    It's hard to be surprised by any headline in 2018 but this one's likely to catch you off guard.

    R&B Queen Mary J. Blige is teaming up with emo poster boy Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance fame for a Netflix Originals show.

    The Umbrella Academy, an adaptation of Way's comic book series, will star Blige.

    The show follows, “estranged members of a dysfunctional family of superheroes” as they solve the mystery of their father's death.

    Blige will play a hitwoman named Cha-Cha who is, a “ruthless and unorthodox hitwoman who travels through time to kill assigned targets.”

    Blige is focussing on acting more and more. She's nominated for an Oscar this year for her Supporting Actress role in Mudbound.
