It's been nearly four years since Arcade Fire released their last record Reflektor and while they've been headlining festivals since, it's still about time we had a new record.
And, we've been handed some good news today with drummer Jeremy Gara confirming that the group have almost finished their fifth album.
While they haven't decided on a tracklist yet, "all of [the songs] have been recorded," he told Red Bull Poland.
"At this stage we are still mixing and trying to decide which songs will end up on the record, because we’ve recorded more than we need. But we’re almost finished."
Gara is not sure exactly when the release will drop but he's hoping that it will happen "soon".
They are rumours circulating that the band are looking at a May 2017 release which makes sense because Gara said the band will start touring in April 2017 and probably finish up in April 2019.
Get ready for heaps of Arcade Fire.
