Talk about dream teams in the music biz right now - the two names that come to mind of which go together like peanut butter and jelly are both Chance The Rapper and Childish Gambino. The internet went into a spin about a potential #Chanbino collab when Chance The Rapper posted a picture to his Instagram on Monday which featured Gambino and the caption “Hawaii than LA, back to work. #roscoeswetsuit”.
The most interesting thing to take from this post is, yes Lil Chano and Donald are standing together, but also take note of the hashtag “roscoeswetsuit”, a phrase Gambino retweeted in 2013. It’s also worth noting that Donald also gave those words a very prominent feature in a 75-page screenplay written to accompany his second record Because The Internet.
Another hint at a collab project being in works came during Chance’s reddit AMA earlier last year, when this question was posed by a user:
There are a few more little plausible notions (The Worst Guys clip, Donald’s feature on Chance’s Acid Rap tape) that something is indeed happening, or has happened, between both artists, but this recent action has us slightly more comfortable that the speculation holds some truth.
