Surviving quarantine and stay at home mandates has been tough on a lot of people. For some, binging every Netflix show has made the days go by a little faster, while others have found solace in YouTube workouts. Though for many, comfort comes from simple treats like fried chicken, apple pies and cooking lasagna with a bunch of strangers on Instagram Live

Many celebrities have turned to their ovens to get them through this time, and lucky for us they have shared almost all of this with us.

    Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez was probably the most surprising at-home chef to make her mark. "I've always been very vocal about my love of food. I think I’ve been asked hundreds of times in interviews if I had another career, what would I do and I’ve answered that it would be fun to be a chef," Selena told The Hollywood Reporter. "I definitely don’t have the formal training though! Like many of us while being home I find myself cooking more and experimenting in the kitchen."

Now, the pop star is on the precipice of unveiling her unscripted cooking show on HBO Max, which will have 10 episodes and feature several different food-related charities.

    Lizzo

Meanwhile, Lizzo has been on TikTok sharing her delightful quarantine meals. "Quarantine has turned me into Betty motherfuckin Crocker so welcome to my cooking show [sic]," she quipped in one video, and she wasn't lying. From mouth-watering spicy vegan chicken sandwiches and cherry limeade to avocado drenched pasta and vegan Jamaican patties, Lizzo has shown us some real culinary range.

    Cardi B

If anyone should get credit for keeping us informed, entertained, and on our toes during quarantine, it's Cardi B. Everyone's favourite New York rapper just shared her secret mango margarita recipe over Memorial weekend. And depending on how you feel about processed meat, this video of Cardi pouring salt over a small paper plate of hot dogs is either ASMR or not for you.

    Avril Lavigne

There's nothing more heartwarming than watching 2000s icon Avril Lavigne burning beets. Celebrities are just like us! Though, she did share an amazing recipe for spa water, which is really just water with fruit and herbs. Ever since then, Avril has upped the ante by posting a delicious video and accompanying recipe for a chicken pasta brimming with buffalo mozzarella.

    Jason Derulo

Jason Derulo has recently pivoted to become the most unhinged TikTok chef, wild transitions and all. His most outrageous concoctions include chocolate pizza and a rainbow explosion cake filled with Skittles. If you've ever wondered what cereal covered french toast looks like, then you have to watch this too.

With his sweet tooth getting the workout of a lifetime, Derulo pushed things a little further by trying to eat an ear of corn on the cob attached to a power drill. It was the straw that broke the camel's back, because his two front veneers couldn't handle the heat and popped right off. Maybe he should stick to baking his Gordon Ramsay-approved chocolate lava cakes.

    Mariah Carey

Everyone got a rare glimpse into the glamorous life of Mariah Carey when she shared photos of herself making "a surprise cake". "You have a chaise lounge chair just chilling in ur kitchen?" one user responded. Others wondered why she was broadcasting a surprise to her 21.5 million followers. Mariah put an end to all the confusion the very next day unveiling the finished cake. The surprise was for her followers all along. Though, she never explained why there is a couch next to her fridge.

    Bebe Rexha

Is there anything Bebe Rexha can't do? Fresh off the back of releasing taco-scented nail polish, Bebe has decided to show off her culinary skills. Along with her brother, Flo - a self-professed grill master who talked her through the whole thing - Bebe grilled a whole lot of steak and vegetable skewers. Highlights include Bebe literally throwing hunks of steak onto the grill until Flo explains she's better off "laying" them down.
