Some of you may have come across the work of Philadelphia producer Amorphous who has been setting the internet ablaze with his excellent mashups.
He's been going viral with mashups online for years but one last year changed everything. His mashup of Rihanna's Kiss It Better and Luther Vandross' Never Too Much quickly went viral, taking his career to the next level.
This week, Fat Joe dropped a new single Sunshine (The Light) which uses Amorphous' mashup as the hook of the track. That means, he had to get the approval of both Rihanna and Vandross' team to make it happen. An unusual feat that shows just how fast his work is spreading.
On top of support from RiRi, he's also garnered praise from Missy Elliott, Jazmine Sullivan, Kehlani, dvsn and Oprah. The latter sent him a laptop and headphones to continue his work.
With word quickly spreading, it's likely to be a big year for the 23-year-old producer. Also, if he's in contact with RiRi, do you think he could have a word to her about the album?
