Rising icon of the world of R&B Lara Andallo has continued to showcase her domination of the genre with the release of her newest single, What U Want. 

The follow-up to August's impressive Diamond In The Rough, Andallo has returned with another classic banger with What U Want. Having recently wrapped up an Aussie tour with US rapper Blxst, Andallo has now unveiled What U Want as not only a taste of what's to come, but an indicator of the powerful stand she hopes to take with her increasingly-infectious singles.

"Women are always put in a box and given limitations," she explains. "Whether we’re viewed as just a pretty face or we’re intelligent but aren’t attractive enough for the male gaze.

"What U Want is about how we can have both beauty & brains, vulnerability & strength, and you can try to view me as just a pretty face, but you’ll find out there's way more to me than that."

Having also joined the likes of UK producer Joel Corry on his Australian tour earlier this year, Andallo appears to be on the right track for taking her domination of the R&B genre to a global scale. "Joel asked me to join him on his Australian tour after hearing my music and seeing my previous live performances," she said of the experience. "I’m super grateful for his belief in me, he definitely gave me confirmation that I’m doing all the right things."

With more on the way in the near future, it might feel like Lara Andallo has already managed to tick off some amazing career highlights, but truly, it's all just getting started.
