In what probably won't be the conclusion to a wild, month-long story, Azealia Banks has sent Elon Musk an apology.
For those who haven't been following this as intently as us, Banks was invited to Musk's house to finish a collab with his girlfriend Grimes. After Grimes never showed up, Banks compared her stay at his LA house to Get Out and made claims about Tesla was “scrounging for investors".
Since then, Musk and Grimes seem to have broken up while Musk is being investigated by the SEC after claiming he had secured funding to take Tesla private, a point Banks negated.
In a letter to Musk, Banks apologised for having a part in “all of the painful events you’ve endured over the past week."
“Over the time spent liaising said collaborations [with Grimes], I was welcomed to a lot of personal information about you,” she wrote.
“The stuff made me feel awkward and uncomfortable about being privy to you, yet I never had the intentions of ever using the information against you. What started off as a cat-fight lead to some seriously unexpected consequences and I seriously apologize.”
She further asked Musk for an opportunity to meet in person which he's surely not going to take up after all this.
We never expected the Grimes and Musk story to finish like this but it's made for one hell of a ride, thanks to Banks' intervention.
