If you’re a fan of hip-hop, then you’ll appreciate the recent shoutouts that Netflix show Big Mouth has been giving to some of the biggest rappers in the game.
The fourth season of the raunchy animated comedy has just dropped, but already fans have picked up on some references to the likes of Rico Nasty, SZA, Lil Yachty and more.
In the second episode of the season, Missy is sitting her cousins’ bedroom while they teach her about Black culture. On the walls of the bedroom are posters of artists like Rico Nasty, SZA, City Girls and many more.
Rico lost her mind when she found out about the reference, and we don’t blame her – it’s cool AF. Now that she’s dropped her debut album, Nightmare Vacation, we’re pretty confident that Rico is busy binging Big Mouth.

Lil Yachty also manifested an appearance in Big Mouth back in 2018, tweeting, “Who wants to see me on season 3 of big mouth? We need this to happen.”
It took them a season longer than expected, but it finally happened. We love seeing TV shows shout out some of our favourite musicians like this – it’s a great combination of all our interests at once.
Sorry it took us a year longer than requested, @lilyachty
