Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion's WAP has drawn so much attention over the last few weeks with many people shocked by how explicit the song actually is.

It's also number one in many countries around the world which naturally means there needs to be a clean version so that radio can play it. Cardi went with "wet and gushy" in the clean version but it turns out she doesn't even like saying it.

In an Australian radio interview with Kyle & Jackie O Show, she talked about the experience of trying to clean up the song.

"'Wet and gushy.’ Ugh, I don’t even like saying it,” she said when Kyle said that he thinks the clean version sound dirtier than the original.

“I would have had to replace it with, ‘Now from the top, make it drop, bounce that big ol’ booty,’ because that was the only thing that rhymed. It was really hard for me to clean this song up because nobody could convince me to keep ‘gushy,’ because I hate the word ‘gushy.’ Ugh."

She went on to name more of her least favourite words including "moist" and "horchata".

The clean version doesn't seem to be detracting too many people. WAP is spending its second week at number 1 in the US after breaking records in its first week. She also rose to number 1 in Australia this week marking her first chart topper down-under.
