It’s been the question that Chance The Rapper fans have been asking for years – why the hell aren’t his mixtapes available to be streamed?
Well, there’s great news – his hit 2012 and 2013 mixtapes Acid Rap and 10Day have finally landed on Apple Music, Spotify and other major streaming services.
There’s even better news for vinyl aficionados, with all three of his mixtapes, including 2016’s Coloring Book available on vinyl for the first time.
However, there is one notable tune missing – Juice from Acid Rap, was unable to be cleared due to sample issues.
Instead of sulking, however, Chance has taken the chance to replace it with the opportunity to donate to charity, with a 30-second explanation replacing the song in the mixtape’s tracklist.
All proceeds from the 30-second stream (which must be played in full in order for funding to accrue) will go straight to Chance’s charity SocialWorks. Founded in 2016, the charity aims to empower Chicago youth through arts, education and engagement in the community.
Chance has also launched a pre-order for his next album. There’s no details available just yet, but he has previously said it’ll be out in July – just in time for his headlining slot at Splendour.
