Sydney dance-pop artist Chase Zera has been filling our ears with a string of singles recently, and we're loving her latest track Over Here.
If you've ever experienced a heartbreak, or a deep loss in love, then you'll be able to relate to Over Here. It's a track about feeling the pain of love lost, and realising that you're going to be ok.
Speaking about the track, Chase says, “Over Here is about that exact moment you realise you’re going to be fine after going through heartbreak. I wanted to make a song that floated along unapologetically because that’s what I felt like I was doing the moment that painful weight was taken off my shoulders.
"For a while after, you wake up every morning feeling sick to the stomach. Then one day, out of nowhere, you wake up and everything is that bit easier and less painful and you’re like, ‘actually, you know what, I’m alright. I don’t want to go back to them and I don’t want them to come back to me, I’m happy over here.”
The production on Over Here is dancefloor-ready, and will get you moving and shaking, both at home and in public. You won't be able to resist. The beat gets inside your head and doesn't let go, with the bassline sounding particularly funky. It's a great pairing for Chase's heartfelt vocals.
