Client Liaison are on a roll and today they've dropped their most summery hit yet called Champagne Affection.
The song, which sees the boys flirt with a dancehall-style beat, follows singles like The Real Thing and The Beat Supreme, and we gotta say, this might the best song yet leading up to the holiday season.
"Champagne Affection is an invitation to celebrate summer in all its carefree decadence," Client Liaison explain. "It describes the joy of two people coming together in the moment between flirting and romance. It's a song for all five senses, a song for the imagination, where anything seems possible as long as you have a glass of champagne in hand.
To celebrate the new song, we had Monte and Harvey sit down and rank their five essential summer drinks in trademark Client Liaison style - champagne included, of course.
1. Americano (cocktail)
When in the company of a sophisticated crowd and you're in the mood to impress, be sure to order one of these. Composed of Campari, sweet vermouth and club soda, the Americano was the first drink ordered by James Bond in the first novel in Ian Fleming's series, Casino Royale.
2. EMU Export
Emu Export is the engine oil of the North West. This clean light yellow lager is favoured by the hard-working miners that keep this country moving. Colloquial names for the beer include: "the red lead", "flightless bird", "export", "sport", "E squared", "chook's piss", "bush chook", "red can", “sexport” or “red hand grenade”.
3. Fosters Light Ice
With a taste profile commonly described as, "watery cardboard with cooked vegetables", like the name suggests, this beer must be ice cold before one can consider drinking it. We often kick back a few of these before shows to get things started.
4. Fruit-infused water (complimentary)
Often found in the lobby of three-star hotels that are trying to punch above their weight, this cosmopolitan twist of flavour is a welcomed offering for guests. Our pro tip is to check the temperature before you fill up as when left for too long, this body of water can stagnate and spoil.
5. Champagne
Champagne or for those more modest folk, sparkling wine, is the universal symbol of celebration. Whether you're seeing in the new year, celebrating a birthday or a loved one or finally changing that blown lightbulb that's needed replacing for 6 months, no situation is too big or small to pop that cork. Like a cowboy's revolver sitting firmly in his holster ready to fire off at any moment, if there is one drink we insist on always having at arm's length, it would undoubtedly be a bottle of champagne.
