They spent most of last year broadening their horizons by creating their own festival, dropping a chic AF clothing line and touring with Kylie Minogue, but Client Liaison are back to focusing on music now with a brand new song, a new look and tour dates that have us heaving for more Monte and Harvey.

The song is called The Real Thing and is far poppier than anything they've ever done and while it retains its retro-factor, it also feels like it's progressed somehow. Think a more early '90s sound rather than the '80s sound on songs off Diplomatic Immunity. 

"We always thought this will be the encore of the live show, with everyone clapping their hands in the air," frontman Monte shares. "It was so positive. To have positivity and danceability in a song and not be cheesy is really difficult. That's the trick. It's more pop than we've ever been. We started in the underground, doing everything ourselves. As you get older you want to hit a wider appeal."

The band are also debuting a new look - there's a sleeker new logo featuring 3/4 of a pie, a more monochrome look for the duo, and of course, huge tour dates, though no word on a new album.

The tour kicks off October 17th and hits 12 cities, ending on November 9th - tickets on sale 9am Friday 2nd August here.
