The stuff of dreams unfortunately became the stuff of nightmares for the unsuspecting students at Drake University in Des Moines.
For months, the establishment embraced its namesake and launched a campaign to "Get Drake To Drake" while the 6 God was on his Summer Sixteen tour.
Drake, being the social media King he is, flirted back with the University, following them back on Instagram and then dropping hints of a potential visit. "I'mma pull up on ya," he commented on the University's Instagram photo, resulting in a mass gathering in the central quad in the hopes of a sighting of Drake.
Alas, there was no sign of Drake and the crowd dispersed in disappointment. Little did the students know that he was simply planning on a late-night visit instead. Snapping a cheeky pic with the 'Drake University' placard, Drake then knocked on the door of sorority house Kappa Alpha Theta NINE times with no answer.

The students weren't sleeping, though. They were wide awake and heard every single one of Drake's knocks.

"Kappa Alpha Theta we out here waiting on you. We waiting on you!" - Drake
The reason they didn't answer the door? THEY THOUGHT IT WAS A CLOWN.
YA BLOODY FOOLS.
Thought I was going to be murderered. Nope. Just @Drake knocking on my front door. pic.twitter.com/NrH53kDKfU

One thing scarier than clowns? Missing a personal visit from Drake. Oh well, some things you just can't Controlla.
