    SZA Just Confirmed Drake Wasn't Lying When He Said They Used To Date

    The hip-hop world assumed Drake wasn't being truthful when he made a claim about his past love life on Mr. Right Now, a track off Metro Boomin and 21 Savage's new album Savage Mode 2.

    Drake made the claim that he and SZA used to date, spitting "Yeah, said she wanna fuck to some SZA, wait/ 'Cause I used to date SZA back in '08." Everyone thought it was just a throwaway bar - after all, rappers like to flex things that might not have actually happened.

    Turns out we were all wrong. SZA took to Twitter to confirm the news, but also issued an important update - they actually dated in 2009.

    SZA tweeted, "So It was actually 2009 lol.. in this case a year of poetic rap license mattered lol I think he jus innocently rhymed 08 w wait . Anybody who really knows me and was around during this time can confirm.. it’s all love all peace."

    She also tweeted that she wanted to clarify because fans pointed out 2008 would have meant she was 17 years old. "I just didn’t want anybody thinking anything underage or creepy was happening . Completely innocent . Lifetimes ago ." At the time, Drake would have been 22/23 and SZA would have been 18.
