    Plenty have tried to recreate the magic of 2001's Lady Marmalade remake, with Christina Aguilera, Pink, Mya, Missy Elliott and Lil Kim, but few have succeeded.

    Well, it turns out Ed Sheeran had a wild idea to create an all-male version with mates Bruno Mars and Justin Bieber.

    Speaking to Charlamagne The God, he revealed his forthcoming No. 6 Collaborations Project started because of the idea.

    “This project actually started with one idea I had which was – you remember 'Lady Marmalade' right? This is such a silly idea — I had an idea of doing that, like you could get Bruno, Bieber and me on a record," he said.

    "How fun would that be?"

    It doesn't seem like it eventuated with Sheeran collaborating with Bieber on I Don't Care instead. Mars is also expected to be on the project.
