Desperate times calls for desperate measures.

As The Texarkana Gazette reports, an 18-year-old Arkansas man was so desperate to go to a Famous Dex concert in Illinois that he reportedly jumped a fence in Arkansas Regional Airport at 2.30am and got himself into the American Eagle twin-engine jet.

Cops found him soon after sitting in the pilot's seat in the cockpit. He was of course arrested and he plead guilty to attempted theft of property and commercial burglary.

The funny part? Despite his lack of plane-flying knowledge, he wasn't fussed with figuring out how to fly it. He told investigators he assumed it would be as easy as pulling some levers and pushing some buttons. The flight would've been a full four hours, too. Fair enough.

He also admitted he'd been looking to steal the plane for about a month. We're not sure why he didn't just arrange a bus or car ride to Illinois for the gig instead during that time.

He's just been let off on probation and ordered to pay a $1000 fine.
