    London bashment crew The Heatwave have been getting us ready for Carnival by dropping a great mix of female dancehall MCs called Gyal Power.

    If you thought only men could get X-rated and chat lyrics on the mic, think again. Loads of the biggest hits in the Caribbean are made by women for women. You won’t hear a single male voice on this mix…it features exclusively female MCs.

    The Heatwave celebrate the amazing skill, power and creativity of women at the centre of dancehall culture. Non-stop party vibes and positivity from Lady Saw, Sister Nancy, Ms Dynamite, Rihanna and untold more female Caribbean artists spitting the wickedest lyrics.
