Our babes in GLADES were on triple j this morning for their very first Like A Version and they took on the 2007 Silverchair classic Straight Lines, turning it into a huge alt-pop jam.
Keyboard-led and infused with synths, the trio were able to remind us why they're so good at perfecting modern pop sounds. Singer Karina Wykes flexed her vocal prowess with a number of amazing vocal runs, while Cam Robertson took on a lil solo and Joey Wenceslao killed it on the keys.
Of course, the Sydney band also played an original and this time it was their massive single Eyes Wide Shut, which they pared back into a woozy, slow jam (with a saxophonist!).
GLADES dropped their debut album To Love You earlier this month and they're about to kick off on an album tour tomorrow, hitting up Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane.
We're giving away tickets to each of the shows!
