When Glass Animals promised that they'd get "australia tattooed to each of our buttocks" to pay tribute to the "greatest sporting country on earth" if they took out the 2020 Hottest 100, they went all-in on the win, and it paid off.
here's the deal: heatwaves on top of the pile in @tripleJ hottest 100 = australia tattooed to each of our buttocks, not each cheek obvs. inked on us 4eva as a sign of our love for the greatest sporting country on earth

The band took out the 2020 Hottest 100 with their track Heat Waves, which has gone on to be a global hit, and they've now come through with their end of the deal. You love to see it.
The band recently took to Instagram to share footage of lead singer Dave Bayley and guitarist/keyboardist Drew MacFarlane getting the Australia-themed tattoos. Both designs were created by a fan named Arielle, who responded to the band's callout for tattoo designs.
Dave's tattoo is a map of Australia, while Drew's is a koala. The band apologised for the delay, writing, "sorry it took so long to get em done covid is a f**ker", but really, we're just impressed they got them done at all. It would have been very easy to back out.
Dave remarks in the video that his mum wouldn't be too impressed by the tat, but as he puts it, “I’m an adult now, my own person so sorry mum!” We'd love to know what she makes of the tatts.
