English indie rockers Glass Animals are one of the favourites to take out this year's triple j Hottest 100 with their track Heat Waves, and they've decided to take matters into their own hands.
Appealing to Australia's love of silly tattoos, the band has announced their plan to get a tattoo of Australia on their butts if Heat Waves comes first in this year's Hottest 100. Honestly, it's a genius strategy. Who wouldn't want to see that?
Taking to Twitter, the band announced their plan to get Heat Waves to the top of the Hottest 100 when the countdown airs on Saturday, January 23rd. They're "absolutely serious" about the plan, in case you thought they were joking.
The band tweeted, "here's the deal: heatwaves on top of the pile in @triplej hottest 100 = australia tattooed to each of our buttocks, not each cheek obvs. inked on us 4eva as a sign of our love for the greatest sporting country on earth."
Elaborating on Instagram, the band says that the tattoo will be on "the top right" of their bums, "where you might print the italicised initials of a lover." Judging by the responses to the announcement, it's already winning over fans, so this could soon become a reality.
